What is an anti-harassment order?
This order is designed for non-domestic relationships, i.e., neighbor vs. neighbor, where there is an existing pattern of unlawful harassment or domestic relationships and where there is no fear of physical harm nor prior history of physical harm.
*Note: District Court has no jurisdiction over minors so if the person you are wanting to file against is under the age of 18, you must file in Superior Court, Room 323 of the Yakima County Courthouse.
What is a restraining order?
A restraining order is superior court order.
A restraining order pertains to married persons or persons with a child in common.
A restraining order may:
- Remove abuser from shared residence
- Give temporary custody and/or set visitation schedule
- Order child support
- Establish child custody or use of family home.
- Or tailored to individual needs.
