The Department of Agriculture maintains an Internet site linked to announcements
for funding opportunities published in the Federal Register, relating
to programs that focus on rural areas.
Federal
Register
The Federal Register announces the availability and deadlines for applying
for Federal grant programs It includes proposed and final regulations,
legal notices from the Federal agencies, presidential proclamations, executive
orders, and other documents of interest to the public. Search the electronic
version of the Federal Register to locate specific program announcements
for those funding areas of interest.

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
(CFDA)
The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA profiles all Federal
grant programs, including funding levels, criteria, and points of contacts
for obtaining additional information and application forms. It also includes
a helpful section on writing grant applications.
Complete, hard copy text of the Catalog, are available for reference in
the government documents section of most major libraries and in the offices
of State and local governments. There are various ways to obtain your
