Incident: Armed Robbery

Synopsis:

On Monday April 15, 2013 at about 0640 hours the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an Armed Robbery at the Terrace Heights Subway Restaurant. Deputies were immediately in the area but no suspect could be located.

The female clerk reported that while preparing to open for the day she responded to a knock at the back door believing that it was an early morning delivery. She was confronted by a male subject who was armed with a knife and demanded she open the safe and give him money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, with blue/green eyes, approximately 5’09” tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt and cap with the hooded covering his face, gray sweat pants and black shoes. The clerk described him as speaking with a stutter.

The suspect has not been identified at this time. If anyone has information regarding this robbery and a possible identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
