Drainage Improvement Districts (DID's)
Projects
DID #4
This project proposes to detect illicit (unauthorized) connections to one of the DIDs (DID #4), verify existing maps of the DID, and describe the pollutant loading, including stormwater sources, associated with each segment of the DID. It is anticipated that this project will improve water quality by identifying direct sources of pollution to the drain, provide an accurate map of the system to enable maintenance, and analyze DID segments for pollutant loads to prioritize management actions. The results of the project will allow the drain system to be restored to a groundwater conveyance, with anticipated improvements to water quality in Wide Hollow Creek. The project will begin implementation in 2009.
