FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY
The Fire and Life Safety Division works together with the Building and Construction Division, Code Enforcement Division, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, other County agencies and the Fire Districts to provide a variety of fire and safety programs. Our goal is to reduce the loss of life and injury, improve health, property, and environmental quality through the reduction of fire and hazardous activity, and determining the cause of those events that do occur.
The Division is staffed by three personnel consisting of the Bureau Chief/Fire Marshal and two Deputy Fire Marshal’s. Public Services Administrative staff provide clerical and support services.
