     SERVICES PROVIDED:  In an effort to aid bereaved parents in the positive
     resolution of the grief experienced upon the death of their child, and to
     foster the physical and emotional health of the bereaved parents and
     siblings, this self-help organization offers friendship and understanding
     through monthly meetings for both parents and siblings and through the
     Chapter newsletter published monthly.  Bereaved parents helping each
     other back to life is what The Compassionate Friends is all about.

     ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:  Any parent who has suffered the death of
     a child, regardless of the child's age (0-50), circumstances (i.e.,
     miscarriage, stillborn, accident, illness, suicide), or the length of time since
     the child's death.  Special support group also available to siblings.

     AREA SERVED:  Yakima Valley

     FEES:  This is a non-profit organization.  There are no dues or fees.

     HOURS:  On call at any time.  Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. on
     the second Tuesday of each month at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 801
     Tieton Drive, Yakima.

     REFERRAL PROCEDURE:  Call the above number, or contact funeral
     homes or hospitals.

     WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE:  Can be arranged.

     BILINGUAL CAPABILITIES:  English only
