SERVICES PROVIDED: Prevention and treatment of mental health
problems. Services offered include the following:
Community Support Program - Provides variety of services to acute and
chronically mentally ill and seriously disturbed adults ages 18 to 59 in
Yakima County. Services include case management (i.e., advocacy,
home visits and outreach, supportive counseling), Sunrise Club (adult day
treatment), social coping skills, living skills, vocational services (evaluation,
training, job placement), evening social activities and liaison with inpatient
facilities. Services to persons with combined problems of mental illness
and substance abuse are also provided. Adult day treatment with case
management services available in Kittitas County.
Consultation and Education - Provides consultation and education to
community agencies, organizations, and groups in Yakima and Kittitas
counties regarding mental health issues. Emphasis is on prevention of
mental health problems through presentations, in-service training and
workshops.
Counseling Services - Provides wide variety of outpatient counseling
services, including individual, family therapy, and group counseling,
psychological testing, incest treatment.
Crisis Intervention Services - Provides crisis intervention counseling,
evaluation and outreach services in Yakima and Kittitas counties. Provides
county designated mental health services for commitments under the State
Involuntary Treatment Act. OPEN LINE provides limited crisis intervention
and referral to county-designated mental health professionals. Sexual Assault advocates
provide crisis response and advocacy for victims.
Elderly Services - Provides a variety of social and counseling services to
those 60 years and older in Yakima and Kittitas counties. Includes home
visits, crisis outreach, case management, and counseling. Services to area
nursing homes including direct client service and consultation. Day
treatment programming offers structured activities. Adult Day Health
program is also available for seniors in Sunnyside.
Employee Development Resources - Employee assistance program for
businesses and organizations in Central Washington. Services include
employee problem assessment, counseling, information and referral,
education regarding mental health issues, and health promotion. Also
provides employee orientation to program and supervisory training.
Psychiatric Services - Provides psychiatric evaluations and medication
monitoring for clients needing psychiatric services. Services are provided
at Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health satellite offices
(Sunnyside and Ellensburg), as well as at the Yakima office.

Provides residential treatment, counseling, vocational and life-skills
building for acute, chronic or seriously disturbed mentally ill adults in
Yakima County. Operates a 10-bed group home, a 24-bed residential
treatment program, and a 40-bed semi-independent living apartment
program. Provides supportive services for clients approved for
independent community living status.
Treatment foster care is available for those children ages 4 to 18.
Twenty-four hour care is provided for emotionally/behaviorally
disturbed children in specialized foster care placements.
