     SERVICES PROVIDED:  Parents Anonymous is a free, immediate, and
     responsive approach to parents who are having difficulty coping with the
     stress and responsibilities of parenting.  Efforts are to build self-awareness
     and empowerment through an atmosphere of acceptance, mutual trust,
     anonymity, and safety.  Weekly support groups consist of helpful
     exchanges among participants who provide supportive listening, validation,
     and acceptance to one another.  The toll-free Family Help Line provides
     immediate access to supportive listening, information and referral for
     parents.  Free parent handouts are also available.


     ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:  Services are available without restriction.

     AREA SERVED:  Statewide

     FEES:  None

     HOURS:  Existing support groups meet weekly in a safe environment of
     mutual regard and acceptance.  Detail with regard to meeting sites, times,
     and dates of group(s) in one's local area may be obtained by dialing
     1-800-932-HOPE.


     REFERRAL PROCEDURE:  For further information or referral to existing
     support group(s) or other local family support services, call

     WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE:  Depends on locations; some sites are
     accessible.

     BILINGUAL CAPABILITIES:  English only.  Some Hispanic-speaking
     groups.
