
When is an inmate going to court?
The jail does not provide court date and time information as it is always
changing, instead we ask that you contact the court that will be hearing the
case. Some of the court contact information is below:

Can you give an inmate a message?
No, we are not able to deliver routine messages to inmates. Inmates have
access to a phone to place collect calls and you can also send them a letter.
Can you tell me if I have any warrants for my arrest?
No, we cannot release that information, you will need to contact your local
law enforcement agency.
How do I give an inmate money to purchase items?
Funds mailed in to inmates shall be in an envelope addressed to the jail and must state the inmate’s name, location, and resident or booking number. “FOR DEPOSIT ONLY” must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. Funds may be placed on an inmate’s trust account by mailing to the jail a Cashier’s Check (official check) or money order written out to the “Yakima County Jail” along with the inmate’s name and jail resident or booking number.

When the paperwork is delivered to our Records Department, the staff will process data in the order it was received. Delays of 6 hours or more can be expected.

I have a complaint, what do I do?
You need to go to the Main Facility Lobby at 111 N Front Street and ask the Officer working for a Public Complaint Form.

I wish to make a Public Disclosure Request, how do I do that?
Contact the Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Corporate Counsel Division at 509-574-1200. They will explain the process and get you the proper forms.
