Return to South Central WDC Home Page
Welcome! If you are seeking a job, or if you are an employer looking for help, please visit our Central Washington WorkSource website for assistance. This is the website for the South Central Workforce Council. The Council is a non-profit, volunteer board that works with training institutions, service providers, and government agencies to develop the workforce in the South-Central Washington region (Kittitas, Yakima, Klickitat and Skamania counties). You can learn more about the ways we do this by following the links at the left. About Us will tell you how to reach us, and who we are. Labor Market Information presents a host of data and reports about our economy, specifically as it affects, or is affected by the labor market. Much of this data is refreshed monthly. Some figures are updated weekly. You will find reports that are specific to our individual counties, the state, and to the U.S. economy in general. There are also links to other web resources that are chock full of data. News is, of course, a compendium of news about economic and workforce topics. You will find articles about employment / unemployment, the Workforce Council actions and accomplishments, the local and state economies, and much, much more. The News page includes an archive of several years of workforce news. Programs is a large section of our website, containing information about the various programs we administer. Included there are descriptions of each program, how it is funded, which agencies operate it, what it works to accomplish, and more. A study of these pages will give you a good picture of the role of the Workforce Council in the enhancement of the local business environment, and the betterment of our fellow citizens' lot. Doing Business With Us is the area where you will find postings of Job openings on our staff, Requests For Proposals (RFPs), Requests For Qualifications (RFQs), and other information for those who might contract with us to provide services. Meetings / Calendar leads you to annoucements of upcoming events and meetings in our office, or among our partners. You will also be able to locate meeting agendas and minutes of past meetings of the Council, the Executive Board, and the Youth Council. And, finally, our Library is a well-stocked resource of official documents, studies, newsletters and articles pertaining to our organization, our community, and our economy. In particular, you will find the Workforce Council's Strategic and Operational Plans among the official documents. |
