Narrative: At approximately 0300 Hrs Yakima Sheriffs Office received a report of a, “Burglary in progress” at the High School.  The West Valley School District had contracted with a salvage company, (Bailey Electric) for overhaul of the old building.

The company was having problems with night time thefts from the site, so Phoenix Security was hired for the extra patrol.   

Under cover security officers had positioned themselves inside the building for the night.  Around 3:00 AM the officers apprehended 1 suspect inside the building and detained him till YSO Deputies arrived.  YPD K-9 assisted with a search of the rest of the building, no other suspects were located.

The suspect: 39 year old Yakima resident was booked at the County Jail for Burglary.
