3/10th Campaign Kick-Off Press Conference

Yakima County, WA- On Wednesday April 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. sharp, a press conference will be held to kick-off the “Help Fight Crime - 3/10th Works” campaign for county-wide law and justice when we vote in November 2009.  

To increase accountability to our citizens, 3/10th has a 6 year sunset that takes it through 2010.  We need to make sure to retain the law enforcement officers, prosecutors, courts, and support staff in addition to the equipment and training that it provides to make our communities safer for the next 6 years.

The April 29th press conference will be held in the State Park Room on the north side of the Sundome in Yakima. Parking and access to the building is on the west side of the Sundome.

Information regarding the 3/10th campaign and the many benefits and successes it has provided to the county-wide law and justice system for the safety of our citizens, visitors and officers will be made available. We look forward to seeing you there.
