Narrative:  Fire, Aid and YSO responded to The Tampico Store parking lot regarding a one car accident. At the scene, aid was rendered and the patient was taken to Yakima Regional Hospital ER.
The accident occurred when the victim was standing outside his 1976 Jeep CJ5 adjusting the idle. The engine had been off. While standing outside the driver’s door with his right foot in the Jeep, the victim reached into the jeep and turned the engine on. The jeep was in gear and drove in reverse. The victim was knocked down and out of the Jeep. The wheels were turned to the right and the car rolled to the left in reverse, the front left wheel running over the victim’s chest and head.
At the scene, the victim was conscious and alert, talking with emergency responders.
