Master Gardeners are university-trained volunteers who serve as educators in their communities. The Master Gardener program originated in Washington State to enable WSU Extension to better serve the public-- specifically home gardeners.
The Yakima County Master Gardeners are active in presenting garden programs, developing community gardens, and sharing gardening knowledge. If you have an interest in becoming a Master Gardener in Yakima County, contact WSU Extension at (509) 574-1600.

An Hour with Master Gardeners: "Tomatoes & Salsa - From Garden
to Table"
We invite you to join Master Gardeners for a class on tomatoes and salsa gardens. The class will be held on Saturday, September 11th at 10:00 am in the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at Ahtanum Youth Park, 1003 Ahtanum Road, Union Gap. Bring a friend and come to enjoy some time with us in our lovely demonstration garden. Parking and the class are free. For further information call (509)574-1600.
