The Board of County Commissioners is responsible for the overall administration of Yakima County government. Duties
The Assessor is responsible for the appraisal of all real and taxable personal property in the County. The office is also responsible for administering senior citizen and disabled person exemptions. The Assessor also calculates all levy information from the various taxing districts as well as audits the amounts requested to insure they do not exceed the lawful limits. New parcel information and maintaining the parcel mapping for the County is also a duty of this office.
