Pear psylla, Cacopsylla pyricola is one of the major pear pests in Commercial pear orchards in the Pacific Northwest
feed on other tree fruit hosts, but is o nly a pest in pears.
In late autumn, the winterform of pear psylla will disperse from pear orchards to to other plants and overwintering sites but will return to pears in the early spring (delayed dormant state).
