On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, the Yakima Health District office will open at 8:30 am and close from 12:00pm - 2:00 pm.

FOOD HANDLER TESTING SERVICES
Testing for the food handler's card will resume at the Health District beginning November 1, 2022. Hours of testing services will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Tuesday hours will be 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.

Environmental Health Specialist
Salary: $31.09 – $40.57 per hour** (10 Salary Steps) + Benefits
Hiring Range: Steps 1-4

The Yakima Health district is hiring a Developmental Disabilities Transition Specialist that plays a pivotal role in disseminating crucial information, providing education, and engaging with the community. The position focuses on individuals aged 14-21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Specialist collaborates with community stakeholders to enhance service system understanding, improves access, and optimizes outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves establishing partnerships with educational institutions, service providers, state agencies, and other relevant entities to ensure access to inclusive supported employment opportunities and successful post-transition employment.
