What is Coordinated Entry (CE)?

Coordinated Entry is the county-wide intake, prioritization, and referral system used to get resources to those with the highest need, regardless of where they are. Coordinated Entry takes the guesswork out of accessing services, introducing a "no wrong door" policy by offering multiple Access Points across our community. Once an individual experiencing homelessness completes a Coordinated Entry intake at any of our county-wide Access Points, they will be eligible for services from across our confidential network of providers.

Is the personal information I share with CE providers private?

Yes! We value the privacy and safety of everyone we serve. Like a doctor's office visit, the information entered in to Coordinated Entry is stored in a confidential database that cannot be accessed by anyone who is not a registered case manager within our Coordinated Entry system. Additionally, discussing this information with anyone outside of that confidential provider network is prohibited, and can result in the termination of database access privileges.

How does CE function?

In 2019, Yakima County's Coordinated Entry process integrated with Interagency Resources for Individuals with Significant Behavioral Health Needs (IRIS). The resulting structure has three bodies: the Policy Team, the Provider Team, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
