What is a Septic System?
A septic system is an underground wastewater treatment system for homes that are not connected to a public sewer line.
When water is used through sinks, toilets, showers, or laundry, the wastewater flows into a septic tank and then into a drain field.
How do I Know if I Have a Septic System?
You may have a septic system if:
- You do not receive a sewer bill
- Your neighbors have a septic system
- You have well water
