Program Overview

Our on-site sewage program provides permitting, review, inspection, and education services to support safe and compliant septic systems in Yakima County.

What is a Septic System?

When water is used through sinks, toilets, showers, or laundry, the wastewater flows into a septic tank and then into a drain field.

How do I Know if I Have a Septic System?
