DISCUSSION ON "LEAN LEADERSHIP TRAINING" THROUGH CENTER FOR GOVERNMENT INNOVATION (10 Minutes) - Commissioner Curtis

  • What is Lean? - Lean is an improvement methodology used to streamline workflow processes to help local governments optimize their efficiency, quality and customer service. 
  • Proposed Half Day Training (4 hr) for Directors in Qtr 1 2024

DISCUSSION ON FORMATION OF A COUNTY EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (20 Minutes) - Commissioner Curtis

  • Purpose: to make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners as to the form, function, and future organizational structure of Yakima County government.
  • Proposed Membership
    • One Yakima County Commissioner
    • Two Yakima County Elected Officials
    • Two Yakima County Department Heads
    • Yakima County Financial Services Director
    • One citizen participant appointed from each county commissioner district (three total)
    • One at-large citizen participant
