Yakima County Hosts Unincorporated Citizens' Trash Disposal Day

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. – Yakima County Public Services is pleased to announce a special initiative exclusively for unincorporated citizens of Yakima County (no businesses) on Saturday, November 18, 2023. This event, Trash Cleanup Day, offers an opportunity to dispose of one appliance, up to four tires, or a maximum of one ton of household garbage at the Cheyne Landfill, located at 4970 Cheyne Road, Zillah, WA 98953. The disposal fees will be covered by the Yakima County Solid Waste Division.

Please note the following restrictions:

• No vehicles or vehicle parts will be accepted.
• Liquid waste, explosives, asbestos, or hazardous waste loads cannot be accommodated.

Pre-registration is mandatory. The online registration period starts on September 18, 2023, and ends on October 18, 2023. With only 100 slots available, each valid for a single visit and non-transferable, we encourage interested individuals to sign up promptly. If you qualify, a voucher will be mailed or emailed to you before the disposal date, scheduled for November 18, 2023.
