Yakima County Human Services has partnered with the Health District, the City of Yakima, and many providers and government entities in the Valley to provide resources and assistance in response to this pandemic. The priorities for the Human Service Department are:
Create isolation and quarantine beds for those who become infected but do not have homes suitable for recovery.
Reduce transmission by increasing safety and hygiene measures in homeless shelters and other congregate program settings.
For community members seeking to provide support to our nonprofits during this difficult time, please see donation and volunteer opportunities here.
The Yakima County Veterans Program remains open during regular business hours. In order to provide services safely during the pandemic, we ask that those seeking services call in advance: 509-574-1537
Thanks to all of the service providers, medical employees, and frontline staff in our community!
