Oaths & Copies
  • Service - Administer oaths or provide certified copies of any documents we have on record
  • Persons Entitled - Honorably discharged veterans, their spouses, their children, their legal representative
  • Notes - If purpose is to collect a pension or back pay only
Honorable Discharges & DD214
  • Service - Record honorable discharge certificate and DD214 Form
  • Persons Entitled - Any person who brings in the document
  • Notes - Free to all veterans residing in the State of Washington.  Spanish-American and WWI vets free regardless of state or residence
Certified Copies
  • Service - Provide certified copies of marriage licenses, divorce papers, annulment papers, or any other document
  • Persons Entitled - Legal representatives of deceased vet, surviving spouse, surviving child, or surviving parent
  • Notes - If the document is required to claim Veteran's Administration (VA) or other government agency benefits
Special Records for Benefits
  • Service - Record and issue certified copies from other states, countries, or territories marriage licenses, divorce papers, and annulment papers
  • Persons Entitled - Legal representatives of deceased veteran, surviving spouse, surviving child, or surviving parent
  • Notes - If the document is required to claim VA or other government agency benefits
Records for Families
  • Service - Provide certified copies of marriage licenses, divorce papers, or annulment papers
  • Persons Entitled - Active duty service persons, or their dependents
  • Notes - If the purpose is to prove their marital status to claim military family allowance
Benefits Records
  • Service - Provide certified copies of any document we have on record
  • Persons Entitled - To VA, the veteran, or any person acting for the veteran
  • Notes - For VA benefits only
