Yakima County Public Services Temporary Closure

Yakima, WA – The Yakima County Public Services and County Roads office, including Planning, Building, Code Enforcement, Water Resources, and Utilities, will be temporarily closed from Wednesday, March 26, at 3 PM through Monday, March 31, 2025. This closure is necessary to upgrade our permitting software, Accela, to offer more online features and services to our customers.
How This Affects You:
- No permit processing: Applications, status updates, payments, and permit issuances will be unavailable during this period, including online services through the Accela Customer Portal.
- Plan ahead: We encourage customers to submit applications and make payments before or after the closure.
- Limited communication: Phone staff will route calls, but most will go to voicemail. Responses will begin after operations resume. You can leave a message at (509) 574-2300 or email Monica.Beltran@co.yakima.wa.us.
