During Summer 2023, through Fall 2025, or until the bridges have been restored, the Mabton area bridges on SR 241 will be closed. The closure will not be effective until the detour route is fully established and the intersections are prepared for the additional traffic. This preparation is anticipated to be completed by mid June. This WSDOT work will result in additional truck and other vehicular traffic on Yakima County Roads: Grandview Pavement Road, Hornby Road, Chase Road, and S Euclid Road, which are being utilized as a detour route. Additionally, there will be a change in stop condition at the intersection of Chase Rd and S Euclid Road from to an all-way stop, to better facilitate the significant increase in traffic.
