Directly to the Noxious Weed Control Board:
Pays for: Assisting Landowners with Problem Weed Control:
~land inspection plant identification, recommendations for control of various plants.
~ inspectors who will provide identification of problem plants, help landowners find the best method of control of their problems.
~Office staff Secretary and Department Manager/ Coordinator.
~Maintenance and operations of the shop and vehicles used by inspectors & coordinator.
~ Herbicide grants: help provide control for Class A or B designate Noxious weeds by granting chemical / cost share for selective treatment.
~Biological alternatives to spraying in hard to access locations where an organism is available (i.e.: Diffuse Knapweed has a seed eating weevil.)
~Equipment loan: sprayers are loaned at no cost to landowners who do not have their own to aid in getting weeds sprayed.
(A refundable damage deposit is required)
2 -3point 100 gal PTO, 1-3point 50 gal PTO, 1 -300 gal pull PTO, and 5 – 15- & 20-gal electric with hand wands.
~ Public Education: information provided to aid in plant identification & control. Fair displays, classroom presentations, & group presentations.
Your Inspectors are here to help you and your neighbors control weeds whether they are on the Noxious List, or just a problem.
