Disability Board
Per RCW 41.26, Yakima County administers the Yakima County Law Enforcement Officers’ and Firefighters’ Plan (LEOFF) 1 Disability Board.
Board Membership
The Yakima County Disability Board is made of up of five (5) members as follows:
(a) One elected fire fighter representative, retired or active, from agencies under the board's jurisdiction
(b) One elected police officer representative, retired or active, from agencies under the board's jurisdiction
(c) One mayor representative, elected by the mayors within Yakima County's jurisdiction
(d) One appointed Yakima County Commissioner (annual appointment by the Commissioners)
(e) One member from the public/member-at-large, appointed by the board.
Meetings
The board has monthly meetings, or special meetings as needed.
If there are no agenda items or a quorum is not available, the meeting may be canceled. Please contact Human Resources in advance if you plan to attend a meeting.
