||Complete all necessary permits from the Corps of Engineers, Department of Ecology, and US Fish and Wildlife Services regarding wetland designation, endangered species, and permitting requirements for the project.
||Construction activities for all elements of the project, including the two box culverts, the Shaw Creek relocation channel, conveyance improvements in Wide Hollow Creek, and Wide Hollow overflow channel.
||Stewardship activities, including planting, re-planting and watering of native trees, shrubs and grass species in the new channel and other disturbed areas of the project.
|Grant Extensions||The PDM FEMA grant will expire on 9/20/19. Discussions with FEMA and Washington State EMD have been on-going on the need for an extension. Both the State EMD and FEMA have been supportive of an extension. A 2 year extension request will be submitted to the State EMD and to FEMA prior to the 60 day deadline prior to the grant expiration date.
The Centennial Clean Water Grant from Washington State Department of Ecology expires on 6/30/19. The grant manager for the grant has indicated that an extension is encouraged for a 1 year period. In addition, if the funds are not utilized within the one year extension, the remaining funding can be re-obligated for the project by the Department of Ecology.
