Passport Services

The Yakima County Auditor's office is here to assist with your passport application needs. You can apply for your passport and have your photo taken in one convenient location. Our office is located on the first floor, Room 116, inside the Yakima County Courthouse.

What to Bring for Each Applicant:

  • Two separate payments 
  • Completed passport application
  • Valid Identification (for applicants over the age of 16)
  • Passport Photo (option to purchase for $15 at our office)
  • Evidence of U.S citizenship
    Your evidence must be an original or certified, physical copy. A certified copy is any document that has the seal or stamp of the official issuing authority. For more information or to see a list of eligible evidence, please see Citizenship Evidence
  • Additional Requirements for Applicants Under the age of 16
    Both parents or legal guardians must be present at the appointment if both are listed on the birth certificate.
    If one parent cannot be present, the absent parent must provide a completed Statement of Consent (Form DS-3053) along with a photocopy of the ID used on the form.
  • If applicant is 16-17 years old
    At least one parent or legal guardian should appear in person with the applicant.
    If a parent cannot appear, the applicant must bring a completed Statement of Consent (Form DS-3053) and photocopy of the parent’s ID.

Fees:

Each application requires two separate payments:

1. Fee One:

  • Payment Method: Check or Money Order Only.
  • Payable To: U.S. Dept. of State
  • Covers: application fee

 2. Fee Two:

  • Payment Method: Cash, Check, Money Order, or Credit /Debit Cards 
  • Payable To:  Yakima County Auditor
  • Covers: acceptance fee
